SUMMERLAND RODEO GROUNDS
SOHA is looking to work with the City of Summerland to improve and refurbish the existing Rodeo Grounds. We hope to establish a "home" at which to hold our events.
Our long term goal is to work in partnership with the Corporation towards building an indoor arena, stabling for horses while attending events, as well as other features that the community would utilize.
To find out more about what our plans are, please read our Proposal to the Parks and Recreation Department and the Summerland Council.
Since the proposal, we have discussed more options and ideas. Read our updates and check back often to see how we are doing and where you can help!

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED! I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their tremendous support of the Dancing Andalusian Fundraiser held in 2007. With out the generosity of performers, sponsors and volunteers, none of this would have been possible.
As a result, we were able to raise $9,412.22 to put towards the development of the Summerland Rodeo Grounds. These funds will be held by the Corporation of Summerland as we continue to fundraise monies for the Rodeo Grounds.
Our next fundraiser is a Silent Auction at the Barley Mill Pub in Penticton. If everyone can begin finding donations now before we become more active with our horses in the spring, hopefully, most of the work will be done and we can then focus on our horses and riding. |

NEWS UPDATES
This years fundraiser for the Rodeo Grounds is a Silent Auction which
will be held November 1st, 2008 at the Barley Mill in Penticton.
In order to be a success, we need as many people as possible to gather
silent auction items. ALL AUCTION ITEMS will be posted on the South
Okanagan Horse Association Website (click here to view them). This will allow individuals a
chance to peruse items beforehand and come prepared to bid on some of
the larger items. Please remember to inform all donators of this
information. Please download the letter and donation receipt for donators.
